Gull Behavior

I observed a juvenile Herring Gull land on a piling at the Camp Ellis Pier.  Almost immediately after an adult landed next to it.  At first I thought it was aggression, then I thought perhaps the youngster was used to being fed by the adult and was looking for food. Watching this “beaking” behavior, I take to be just that.
