Palm Sunday – Palm Warblers, That Is!

I went out to Capisic Pond Park and Evergreen Cemetery and saw over 20 Palm Warblers in a period of about three hours.  Even more bountiful were the Yellow-Rumped Warblers, but you can’t really make a cute pun with that species, right?  Ruby-Crowned Kinglets also in large numbers, 8 Wood Ducks at Capisic and a Hen Merganser at both Capisic and Evergreen, what a great day for mid-April!

Yesterday I made it out to the Rachel Carson Wildlife Refuge in Saco and was able to get some great shots of Little Blue Herons and Snowy Egrets.
